Artist Statement
I started sketching when vacationing - architecture, landscapes, and anything that attracted my eye. Then added watercolour washes to express my observations. Two years ago, I switched to oil paint after five years of painting with watercolour and now paint anything that attracts me.
Artist Bio
I am inspired by The Group of Seven, especially Tom
Thomson, and the impressionists, while also working on
developing my own vision and palette. My paintings have been
displayed at the Oakville Art Society shows in 2023, 2024, and the Juried Show in 2025, and in FASM's Heart to Hand Show in 2024 and 2025.
My other interests include playing bagpipes, triathlon training,
gardening, and working on small art installations in my
backyard using the ancient methods of dry stacking stone.
I am a member of both The Fine Arts Society of Milton and The
Oakville Art Society, and feel fortunate to benefit from the
knowledge and guidance of other artists.
